This is a static provider that downloads daily (EOD) historical price data for world stocks, futures and indices from
Stooq.com website.
Notes
- Requires suffix to identify exchange; the format is symbol.suffix. For example, use AAPL.US to download the AAPL data.
- Supports Market Manager
Issues and limitations
- Limitation: Stooq noticed to have a pretty low daily quota for requests, returning "Exceeded the daily hits limit" instead of data. Consider to use the service wisely or switch to one of the alternative data providers.
- Provider does not have the means to adjust for splits and dividends. To maintain your data in good shape, either perform splits manually or reload the DataSet from scratch using the Data Tool's "Remove all data" feature and then updating the DataSet.
